One of the largest automotive suppliers in the world has developed generic platforms in a site in the USA in recent years without a defined project organisation and without the leadership of a project manager. Due to the large number of projects that now had to be carried out simultaneously, project standards had to be defined in a short time and then implemented. In addition to the necessary implementation of a change project at the site, it was also necessary to analyse the current project situation, replan ongoing projects and successfully manage them until the handover to customer/application projects.
